The Assessment Committee meeting of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) was held at the Istanbul Stock Exchange premises on July 8-9, 2026, hosted by the CMB. Approximately 30 participants from member countries of the Committee, along with representatives from relevant international stakeholder organizations, attended the meeting.



The meeting addressed the methodology for evaluating the level of implementation of the IOSCO Securities Regulation Principles and Objectives by member countries, self-assessment processes, and capacity-building activities. Discussions focused on existing and future ISIM (IOSCO Standards Implementation and Monitoring) Reviews, Thematic Review on Crypto & Digital Assets Recommendations and its assessment methodology and Assessors’ Workshop.

The Assessment Committee in whose activities the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye has participated since its establishment holds a significant place within IOSCO. As one of the two core policy committees that underpin IOSCO's work, it plays a vital role in promoting the consistent implementation of IOSCO Principles and in strengthening regulatory standards across jurisdictions.
